New Trac plugin and announcement

Today we're going to announce multiple news.

  • The XMLRPC Trac plugin is available now. It adds an XML/JSON interface to trac, enabling it to communicate with other software without the web interface
  • Agilo for Scrum is now deactivatable. If problems occur with this feature, please write a ticket
  • Soon public html (your homepage) will get activated on studi. The current addresses are www.f4.htw-berlin.de/~s0xxxxxx and projekte.f4.htw-berlin.de/~s0xxxxxx. The new is studi.f4.htw-berlin.de/~s0xxxxxx. Due to technical reasons public html on projekte will get deactivated instantly after being activated on studi. Students who need this feature should remind this. The action will take place on a sunday and there will be an announcement the week before

Trac Plugins

Trac-Plugins are now managed via the studi-site (per Trac-project in its details), because time discovered some plugins being too complex for managing via the TracAdmin without admin-permissions on the server machine.

This is now done by the webserver.

Agilo for Scrum is now available. It's a useful scrum management plugin. Yet, this plugin cannot be disabled once it get enabled. But this function will get implemented soon, too. So if you wanna try, just use a testing project!

Trac Ready

Trac is online. Well.

There are no special plugins online yet, but this will change tomorrow, starting with Gantt-Diagrams. A list of all plugins is accessible here.

In contrast to the old projects server, this server provides mail notifications for trac.

Subversion Release Candidate / RSS

After some development time again, the Subversion-part of this site is nearly done. There should be no bugs or glitches anymore. If you find any, please feel free to open a new ticket.

Another new feature is an RSS-feed. You're welcome to subscribe the feed for getting up to date with planned server outages and new feature news. There won't be any spam, promised! :)

Trac will follow within the next two weeks.

Good luck!

Hello, World

After some development the first two services - PostgreSQL and the ticketsystem - are online. The latter is the official place for issues with both project-servers with immediate effect.

PostgreSQL should work properly, but I would welcome some test-users and feedback. Please don't use the database in a production environment now. I've warned you. Two times :)

Masterplan:

  1. Subversion/Trac
  2. MySQL
  3. Applicationserver

Ideas for new services:

  • Git
  • Redmine

I'll be lucky about every kind of feedback and suggestions.

Have fun!
